How to give your cat liquid medicine (without losing a finger)
Marble has been on heart meds since March and I figured out a routine that finally works. Sharing what stuck after a lot of trial and error. If your cat just got prescribed something liquid, hang in there.

Vet tech here โ one thing I'd add: warm the syringe in your hand for a minute before dosing. Cold liquid is part of why cats fight you. Also if your cat consistently foams at the mouth after a dose, ask your vet about a compounded flavored version. Most antibiotics can be reformulated as chicken or tuna paste, which makes the whole thing 10x easier.
the burrito wrap is the only thing that ever worked for my orange boy. he is so strong it's insane. used to take both me and my husband and we'd still end up wearing the meds. one towel and suddenly he gives up. cats are weird
this worked really well for me. my cat is on daily meds now and I was dreading it every morning. the back of the mouth trick was what I was missing the whole time
lmaooo my cat just SCREAMS the entire time. like full demon possession scream. i thought i was hurting her the first time but the vet said its just drama. anyway this saved my life cause she has to be on metacam for arthritis and i was about to give up
works thanks
